While the school year has not started yet the locals in Ski Country have been very busy. One of the things locals have been working on is return to work conditions. Health and Safety is on everyone’s mind.
Both Eagle County EA and Aspen EA have surveyed their members and shared the results and requirements with their districts. Eagle County EA has had several meetings to negotiate and work towards an agreement for schools to reopen safely. Aspen EA has shared the results and requirements with their district. They will be continuing to have meetings with their district to come to an agreement.
Summit County EA, and Lake County EA have surveyed their members about returning to work and will be sharing with their school districts next week.
Not all the work has been pandemic related. Steamboat Springs Education Association wrapped up negotiations this week. They were negotiating salary increases that are being funded by a mill levy that was passed this past November.
